Description

This is the real photo without so much manipulation for Halloween(which was great fun!). It was shot last Sunday in a small town not far from Padova. Scorzè is a town in the province of Venice, in the Veneto region of northeast Italy. In the Middle Ages, the town was a centre for leather tanning, and the tanners or scorzeri in the Venetian language, gave the town its name. It is first mentioned by Pope Eugene III in a papal bull of 1152. In 1338 it was annexed by Venice, and in 1815 it became part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In 1866 it became part of Italy together with the Veneto region. The 50-metres high belfry was built in the 16th century, well before the 18th century church. Thank you for your kind comments.

leaves turn gold on the approach of winter, chill in the air... things seem crisper, more delicate...sttanding above it all is the steeple, looking out on the town and it's people, a sign of protection, of hope for the future... beautifull image!
