Description

As I sit alone tonight Watching the stars On this clear cold night I can’t help but wonder Where did it all go How did I end up right here Right now My youth went by so fast It seems like only yesterday I was lying in my bed dreaming dreams But the dreams are all gone And I lie in my bed Trying to decide if I want to get up Don’t get me wrong I can’t complain I have had a good life It’s just gone by so damn fast Now instead of checking the sports page I check the obituary To see if there is someone I know And it’s always in the back of my mind My friends are checking to see If it’s someone they know

Except for the last six lines, I'm with you 100%. I know too few people in this big city to spend time looking though the many pages of obituaries and I never looked in the sports pages. Also San Antonio has a horrible paper. But the rest, spot on with me too. Wonderful writing, my friend!
