AloooooHa~ Sometimes the lava cools quickly and has no where to run so it pools on itself as seen here. If no new lava flows out it leaves this shape in it's wake. Some of the people that had walked with me on the lava fields always asked how these twisted rope like lava rocks are formed? This picture explains it all in one hot breath. Nice shooting my friend and thanks for the TLV help. Aloha
