WOAH!!!!! Oh, this is amazing. I saw District 9 and I'd recognize a "Prawn" ship from anywhere. I saw District 9 and expect a sequel to it, if it comes, I hope it's a bit like this. Humanity, at least as portrayed in that movie, needs to get its butt kicked! Seriously. And by hordes of really miffed Prawns. Okay, now that I've ranted...this is a gorgeous piece of work. Whether there is a movie reference in it or not is beside the point. It's spot-on perfect!

Excellent! Like the way you have shown the destruction - especialy the details of the dome and the ships - works great in Monochrome.

That's the ship from District 9. great looking art, but why is the vessel over the Washington capital building, and not over South Africa? I should not let politics interfere with art, but I can't help but notice that the building looks very familiar.

It's actually not the ship from District 9 although there are similarities the main difference is the size, my model is a much smaller craft and has guns mounted along the top and a searchlight. The model used for the film is far more detailed and has many irregular features meaning that is's not the same all of the way around - I probably couldn't copy if even if I wanted to. The city is a futuristic London and the main building is St Paul's Cathedral (the same model as used in my 'Ships That Pass In The Night' image), I damaged the building as it miraculously received virtually no damage during the WW2 blitz. I thought these notes might answer a few questions :) Tony www.my-art-gallery.co.uk
