I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

WOW! This is a gorgeous picture! They look so...Impala-ish...so velvety and crisp. I have no idea what Tara just said, but I love the way my mind works. I'm reminded of the story "Mimsy Were the Borogoves." Non English languages usually make me think of that story becuase of the wonderful coincidences. "...en leeus is vervelig..." is one of those bizarre visual-text coincidences that makes me wonder what a "leeus" might possibly be, and why it suddenly feels the urge to "vervel"...okay, it's vervelig NOT verveling...but still, English imposes itself on other languages...and I can't get the image of a verveling leeus out of my head. Okay, I'm rambling on linguistic/visual tangent here, but needless to say, the image that inspires all of this is a fantastic one. It's post-card perfect, only it's not schmultzy like so many postcards are. You've captured a lot here, including distinct Impala personalities...all of them are distinct. Great work.

They're beautiful, they look so sleek and smooth. Makes me want to run my hands over them, although I doubt they'd let me get that close! Great capture, Carin!
