Description
Here you can see my friend Carla's Judas trees and her dog Trevor, during the pleasant days of late October. Today the day is bleak and gloomy, so I'm going to remember the sunny days of the last two weeks to cheer me (and you) up.
Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum) is a small tree native to the south of Europe and southwest Asia. This small, sparsely branched, tree is said to be the one from which Judas Iscariot hanged himself after betraying Christ, but the name probably derives from Judea, after the region encompassing Israel and Palestine where the tree is commonplace.
Thank you for your kind comments.

A lovely shot with great lighting. It has been torrential rain here today, rarely see it quite so bad!

I can easily imagine these trees lobbing things at the unwary pedestrian, like the apple trees in "The Wizard of Oz" Wonderful capture!
