Description
I was wondering what for do for my next product, and it occurred to me that there hasn't been any new Christmas trees crop up in the store in quite a while... So here's a quick test render of the tree WIP I've been developing.
This model makes use of Poser's hair room for the needles, and it turned out to be easier on the 'ol processor than I thought. It also allows the user more control over how the needles are presented, since population/thickness/length/etc can be manually controlled.
So far, the ribbon is a poseable figure, while the rest of the elements are smart props attached to the tree-prop. The tree can be used alone in case someone wants to use it in a non-holiday setting.
I figure I'll have this ready for QC by this weekend, so it should be available in the store for early next week. 'Til then, have fun, and thanks for looking!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I'm a little late in getting this ready (surprise, surprise!) so it won't be ready until next week. There's also trying to figure out what MAT poses to include with it, since Christmas trees have a nearly infinite number of variations that you can trim them in. I'll probably pare it down to just a half-dozen colours for each ornament group, and include basic instructions on changing that materials/objects for folks who aren't used to doing such.

After long last, I've finally gotten this in for QC, hopefully they're not too busy and it gets in soon. This took a lot longer to sort out than I thought, I'm 3 weeks behind what I originally was shooting for. I've updated the image to the latest version, and used a neutral background to give a better idea of the tree's actual fullness at this angle (darker backgrounds help make it look fuller).
