I became a member of Renderosity in 2001. I joined the staff in 2003 as the first MojoWorld moderator. I was also the first Terragen moderator . I've has spent time moderating in Photography,Poser,Fractals and the now defunct OT and Den forums. I "retired" after 7 years.

This is so rich in details and it just drips with mood. I always find rural shots to be incredibly moody, and sometimes dark. What I like about this one is the way that details pop out when you zoom in. The sense of color (even in sepia-tinged monochrome) is strong...there are variations in light and dark that imply so much more than actual "colors" could...and the texture of the wood and the old siding is wonderful. The silo in the background looks strangely anachronistic, not like it doesn't belong in the photo at all, but like the little surprise of something far younger than what you've expected to see. Great, moody work.

Start with a good compo and a tone just makes this picture more fascinating. Lots of texture what I am sure you did some a close up too.
