Unfortunately the smoking ban seems to be taking the blamefor pub closures nowadays , people seem to forget abot cheap supermarket drink, attitude of the pub companies to their tenanants, drink driving and ( oops , nearly forgot something called a recession . Since the smoking ban a lot of pubs have been cleaner , not reeking of stale tobacco and far nicer places to be in !! Cheers
