This is a bit of an update. From humble beginnings my photography is steadily improving.I started out with a Kodak point and shoot camera and progressed to a Sony A-200 Digital SLR camera.Other equipment that i currently have is the following: Tamron 70-300mm lens. It's funny, there's a novel by an English author with the somewhat improbable name of China MiƩville, and because of that novel Perdido Street Station I'll never look at butterflies (more specifically, moths) in the same light. This image brings that back to me because of their eyes! WOW. How well captured. What breed are these? I don't think I've ever seen them, at least not in Chicago or Prague, or Dortmund. Maybe they're warm weather critters? At any rate, they're stunning. Absolutely beautiful. The light and the details pop. You have such a knack for photographing the natural world.
