Description
I shot this about 3 weeks ago while on a fishing trip to the North Carolina outerbanks. The surf was good enough four of the days that I put aside my fishing pole and paddled out for some fun. This was one of those days.
The shot location is on the beach in front of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. This is not as crisp as I would like but I was hand-holding the camera while zoomed in a lot.

what a fitting title... I am a bit jealous the outerbanks is one of my favorite get away places. And now with a rockslide blocking interstate 40 for the next few months it might be awile before I get back out that way. Would love to see more from there.

I love this shot, the fallen surfer is a great moment, to be sure, but what I really love is how the sunlight has been caught in that wave. Magical!
