Description
The next day, Sheriff Jane Brody and Dee-Anna Jones, with a hand-picked group of officers, go down to the creek. They walk along the length of it, they explore the surrounding woods, they watch, and wait, and listen....nothing! Not even Dee with her advanced tracking skills can find any trace of a creature that could have killed a person.
Jane and Dee meet up on the bridge just as the sun is going down. A beutiful place, yes, but holding a deadly secret. And for now, they were no wiser on what it could be.
