Description
One exit from the Roman Forum, Rome, last week.
I don't know where this old beggar woman was going, towards the entrance/exit of this area. I just gave her some money, without seeing her face, without a word. She was slowwwwly climbing this paved road, like a ghost, like a black spot on my consciousness, like a Sisyphus.
I'm still ashamed.

Unless you are willing to take her into your home and provide for her daily needs, there is nothing to be guilty about. We might all be living like this if not that some of us are luckier than others. You did more for her than many. Feel good about that.
