Description

Well, this is the preliminary design for the "Project Valkyrie N2001X". The 2001 comes from the kickoff of the actually design phase last spring. Now it is just a matter of porting the information into the PDQ airplane design software I bought last year to see if it can be made into a viable kitbuilt design. The concept is built around a basic framework (the hull) and you can either sling a small jet engine under the framework or mount a four blade turboprop pusher on top of the hull (for blade clearance). Other feature adding complexity will be a variable geometry canard (which means leading edge slats). Sweeping the canard from +5 degrees forward for landing to -40 degrees back for cruise. Performance goals are: ===== Crew compartment is scalable for a crew from one to four. 300 knots cruise 30,000 foot ceiling 2,000 mile range (the toughest part of all IMHO) Rendered in Inspire 3D using Starbase C3,DOGA L3, and Modeller parts. Background from Terragen.
