This scene brings together elements and characters from my earlier steampunk images. The airship is my modified Steam Flying Machine from DAZ. My steampunked cigar yacht, the Walter S. Winans, is anchored below. New is my partial reconstruction of a Maunsell Sea Fort. There's only one here, but when they were built in WWII there were clusters of half a dozen, joined by long catwalks. Although they are deteriorating, many are still standing off the English coast. Also featured are V4 three times with several variations of RDNA's Steampunk bundle, Steampunk Zoë, the Millenium Cat, the rowboat from DAZ's Smuggler's Keep, Ness's period police lantern, components from the freebie SFKS ladder and gangway sets, and a searchlight from Google Warehouse. The sea shader is based on one from Kevin Forbes' freebie water set, modified with Digital Carver's Terrain Effects. The scene was composed and rendered three times, with different components, in Carrara and composited in CorelPaint, where I also re-did the Carrara moon. The moon and a couple of the lights were further post-processed in Picture Publisher with a very simplified lens flare effect. The result is a significantly modified version of one of my DAZ Steampunk render challenge postings.
