Description

A new one for the Xilon series. I did this for a challenge at graphics.com. The challenge was to use the displacement filter. I wasn't aware of how this worked before. It's used for wrapping one image arond another. I used Dave's Illustration action to finish tje image. Amazing work. It's funny, this image reminds me, very, very very vaguely of the Vorlons, as portrayed/revealed in the series Babylon-5. That same, angelic quality is here, along with the intense light...only looking at this being doesn't cause insanity: at least I didn't lose my mind looking at it and wind up babbling gibberish in some corner. This is fabulous work, very realisitic yet with a very profound sense of fantasy (or at least, another reality.) I love the layered complexity. I also love the fact that I came across this, because now it's making me want to explore more of your gallery.

I definitely go for "alternative reality" rather than "fantasy" - excellent work all round!
