Great intriguing piece of art, and still visually clear for everyone of us to find the beginning of personal idea about the story line. Bravo Mandi! I always like the contrast of background to the rest of the image, it really bring the story in first plane.

A wonderful image revealing many layers of tradition, change and cycle. I'm off to change a valve in my telly and hibernate for a few months watching old films from the 1950's, starting with 'The Thing'.

another of your mind-boggling images, and a great deal of fun too. The key face almost seems pulled in two directions, his/her eyes pointing to polar opposite ends; you have cartoon figures, top & bottom, as if this strange person has a playful even menacing child inside; you have your oh-so-present fish coming out of sleeves, then what appears to be the hands of an infant (or maybe like a picasso arm & hands), your usual eyes in the center of the being, and organic forms, and then those two riotous strange tubes--the old kinds that we used to have in amps and other electronic appliances. They look like photographs (they're fascinating inside); and, with those heads and horns coming out (echoing the nose of the lower cartoon face), they become little tube-people, the connectors becoming feet. The 'fish' people are in profile, with no heads (lol), and the whole thing feels like a confluence of creatures who have congealed for this picture, for the inner mind; and it's very serious, playful, silly and as always strange & unanswered. All part of the inner logic of your art. I honestly don't know what it has to do with Autumn, but it doesn't matter, as this IS Autumn right now, and this is one of its visits. I miss your compact surreal visions. You do them as only a handful of artists can do anywhere. And the serious head on top looks like his/her brain is open, as if you're penetrating inner thought. Bravo. A very compelling piece.
