Description

the other day I went walking at my favorite park and was trying to take a bee on a flower when I spotted this butterfly.it is the same breed that I brought into my house so it would survive the cold temperatures. there was a slight breeze and just enough to cause the long stem with some heavy flowers to keep moving.with several shots I was able to get these. first time to get a shot of the wings open. they usually do not open unless in flight I went to Oklahoma state line again to take pictures of the 12th largest lake in the USA, Texoma and the leafs were beautiful.I will share a choice shot soon thanks for your visit and any comments

Beautiful capture of this butterfly Richard so lovely especially with its wings open.. well done I have somewhere amongst my "stuff" some pages from a magazine that had an article of a man that took butterfly pictures and it showed the butterflies and each one had the letter of the alphabet in the wing pattern and they went from A-Z they looked beautiful.. would be nice to scan and put on here but would break the TOS ;-( as not my work..

Well done Richard...I haven't seen a butterfly all summer but I am sure I wasn't looking in the right places.
