Description
Work In Progress - Sally Jupiter.
This has been on my pending pile for six months.
Face is a very early attempt at Carla Gugino.
Hair is a blender WIP model I made (couldn't quite find that style on rendo!).
Two versions of the tablecloth (can you spot them?).
Box Camera was knocked together in Blender.
Posters/newspaper clips composed from scratch in the GIMP and some need to be aged a bit.
Carpet is from my bedroom.
Top half of the Tiffany lamp built in blender.
Snow shaker - Daz Studio.
Statuette is a low-res man from Poser 1 I think.
Hongyu's Corset I for the suspenders and stockings.
Chair is only temporary, I can't work out what style it is from my reference photo.
There are a few missing items from the scene that I also cannot see clearly in the reference.
Lights took forever to set - I have 3 spots, two points and an environment light.
If you are wondering what on earth she is holding onto - there's going to be a convict in a
black and white hooped suit on all fours in front of her.
The upper body was quite heavily post worked in the Gimp leaving it with a kind of half cartoon, half real world appearance. If I said that was intentional I'd be lying.
Minutemen purists forgive any liberties I may have taken.
Thanks for looking

Wow, great wip. I haven't seen the movie in a while but this certainly grabbed my attention. You got the vintage-look coming across really well. The lamp shaft and the front of the camera have sort of an ambiguous depth-of-field moment. Great job on her hair, costume, and all the other set details and lighting.

Great vintage image, very resourceful as usual (nice hair model). I think you've captured the Noir feel quite well and Ms. Gugino is coming along nicely if the wall photo is a reference. I rather enjoy your rambling.

Looks wonderful. Recognizable right off. Love the hair. (Where did you find the hair - it is period perfect). Oh yep and way too many words.
