Description

Got out for a few days last week while we had such pretty weather...got a few pics...and while we were out ran across these mushrooms...I always called them Dry Land Fish........they are delicious to eat....just get a lot of these mushrooms....get the skillet real hot...flour them good and cook...ummmmm salt & pepper to taste wish there had been more or I would of given it a try...been a long time since I fixed a batch of these...but be careful...because if you don't know what they look like they could be poisonius... Bruce's dad my X gave us a scare last Sunday he went into congestive heart failure...on the day he was getting ready to come home the nurses were pulling out his I.V's etc and his central line and when they did....he died on them...had to shock him back......was on the respirator for 3 days...finally started talking and is now back home...was in ICU for quite some time..he is still awful weak......I go this coming Wed for a bone scan...just had a bone density test done 3 mos ago...now this is another 3 hr wait...but you can bet I will eat a breakfast and lunch while I am there LOL...the schools have been closed here for the flu for a week.....I say they will have to shut down again......too many different types of virus and flu is out there....No Swine Flu case here tho....... All post work done in PSP 9 Added text...2 different borders.... Adjusted hue and saturation...and one step fix Also added text as well......... I have a few more fall images to post if my son will ever let me on the computer.......arrgh wish I hadn't sold mine even tho it was old it worked.. Ty for any comment you care to leave.... Also for those of you who favorite me many thanks Hope you all have a warm beautiful fall Sunday we are supposed to........P S This was a photo from this spring along with some more I have yet to post....sorry for the delay in this image..... Interesting looking mushrooms and have never eaten anything I collected from the woods – except blueberries. Good luck with the bone scan. Dana

These do look good enough to eat even though I'm not a mushroom eater. I hope your scan goes well.

Great shot Susan. Personally, I hate mushrooms. Not that I have a problem with most types of fungus, just eating them gives me the willies..lol. Bravo and hugs from Dave :^)

Ah, Morrells...my family in Ohio gathers them when they can...still pretty rare aren't they? You posted this on the 8th of November...that was my birthday. So, thanks for the birthday treat:-) Little did you know, right?

Hello Blush, Thanks for the comment. I also pick Morrel mushrooms. Every spring my boyfriend and I pick them on his hunting land, around the 2nd week in may. We usually get a couple of grocery bags full. They are good but also rich tasting. Another good way to have them is to fry them in butter without coating and then add some Worcestershire sauce.

Wow..delicious... mmmmm Hope you are feeling better, and for your family I send my Prayers. Yeah I bought one of those $300 laptops when school started just so I could get online when my husband is home... pc hogs.. LOL all of us when we get a chance. Then I had to buy a router to be online with it but I have been happy with it.

I've heard of Morels, never tasted them, and never seen them. So now I know what they look like, strange looking things, a great shot!
