..................'Just little old me'! Watching these young elephants play in their pool was one of the nicest things I've ever seen. The other elephant was totally submerged in this shot! They apparently lost their parents to poachers and consequently were unlikely to survive in the wild. It looked to me that they had really fallen on their feet! The wonderful staff at Melbourne Zoo look after them with kindness and care. The floating objects in front of him are cut up pieces of fruit, frozen to help him cool down on this very hot day. I have a bunch of shots of these guys playing and squirting water at each other, and will post them here if you guys are interested. Please zoom for more detail.
