Sunshine and Lime slipped inside the classroom minutes before the the bell rang. Sunny's new friend ,Thena, waved her over. Sunny said. "I know what you were talking about now! Used to be, 'Special Needs' children were developmentally challenged or genetic defectives! Now WE are are special needs because we are dangerous around normal children who are weaker and more frail than we are! Right?" Thena lifted a finger and said, "PIMPOM! We have a winner! YOU are one of those killer Cyclops, and your older adopted sister, Lime, has a cyborg body, like me! Hathor is genetically engineered and Prince turns into a giant monster!" Sunny growled, "He ISN'T a monster! He turns into an ALIEN! He saved my life two weeks ago when that dragon attacked us! Toxic is an alien,too." Thena smiled and laughed, "Yeah,'cept TOXIC isn't trying to make time with your BOYFRIEND!" Sunny glanced over at Prince and Hathor, who was fidgeting and acting cute next to him. Sunny gritted her teeth and turned away. She said in a huff,"HE is NOT my boyfriend! He can hang out with anyone he wants to. I DON'T care. He's a big stupid dumb-dumb head!" Thena laughed, "You DO like him, don't you? ANYWAY! What did you want to ask me about this weekend?" Sunny screwed up her face and asked,"If you aren't busy...Toxic is having her cousin sleep over at the Nautilus this weekend, so I asked my mom and it's alright with her...would you like to sleep over,too?" Thena frowned. "I don't think so, but I'll ask my my big brother. You know I said he has problems with Cyclops...I never told you why. They blew up my city." Sunshine looked shocked and dismayed. Lime clasped her hands together and muttered, "It wasn't Floating City number ONE was it? Refuge?" "Yeah, that's it! I was only seven or eight when it happened, so I don't remember much of it. Only a hundred or so people survived it being shot down with a nuke. It messed me up pretty badly. My older brother lost an arm in it, but took care of me. He joined the military to get me my new body." Sunny said. "It's not TRUE! My mom...I mean Cyclops weren't trying to kill your mom and dad! They shot at the secret, hidden Scourge ship next to Refuge! If they HIT Refuge with a nuke, it would have BLOWED UP!" Lime said, "The captain of the Cyclops sub was very careful to hit the Scourge ship. Refuge must have been too close. That ship got damaged but didn't blow up. It flew away. Refuge got knocked down." Mrs Bellatrix came over, and said, "Sunny, the proper tense is 'Blown up' not 'blowed'! Everyone take your seats! Prince! Back on the BOY's side, please! Don't make faces at me. Hathor! Same for you,too. Toxic! Quit fooling around looking out the window! Take your seat! Class is about to begin." Toxic waved her bag at the window and asked loudly, "What's the big shiny ,flashy thing over there?" Everyone looked out the window at the bright light. Mrs Bellatrix said tensely, "Looks like an in-atmosphere hyperspace emergence. This IS a military base, so they must be testing something." She wasn't sure of what she said, but did hope it. She straightened up and said, "In any event...We're going to go over recent events that lead us into our current state of war. We're going to cover the Scourge and their allies, and the Human Colonial Authority and their allies...like the Cyclops! Since we have one, would you like to say anything, Sunny?" "Sunny are you feeling alright?" Mrs Bellatrix looked concerned, how emotional Sunny looked. Sunny said, "No. I have to throw up." She bolted from the desk and ran out of the room like a sprinter. Lime stood up and said, "I'll check on her." She ran out like a flash. She knew what was bothering Sunny. Finding out that your mother's finger was on the button that killed your best friend's parents was a bit much to swallow. --TO BE CONTINUED!--
