Description

LOL! Got this funny idea to take shots of woodlice, to show Chipka we have them here too. :) I bet they are all over the world, but I had fun doing it and my hubby removed stoned for me. SOme of them were less clear, which is why I gave them a filter, but I like the shapes of these little bugs. Dont forget to ZOOM. Thank you for your nice comments to my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :-))) Have a lovely sunday. We have cloudy but peaceful weather today. 6,7C = about 44F.

HAHA! Koosie. A thing I like about them is, that they usually stay out of my house :-)

I am seriously hoping Andrea is just joking!! They are beautiful but creepy creatures! I am sure Chip will love them! I remember the wonderful narrative he wrote with his woodlice upload! Well done Helle! BTW - I look at your temp and want to crawl under a blanket despite the fact that I just came out of the pool! Brrrr...!!!

You took some great shots Helle, apparently these little guys are good for the garden and eat all the unwanted bugs, so it is good to have them around. Yep we have plenty here in the UK too. hugs Jane xx

Not my favorite subject I'll admit. But the partially separate segments which allow it to roll up are interesting looking, especially at the end. Excellent capture! Funny comments.

It's about 44F here, too, and quite balmy! I don't know what Carin is complaining about. LOL! I know Chip will love these. He says he will never live anyplace where there are no woodlice.

WOW! I'm late in getting around, but I finally saw this! WOW! This is immediately going into my favorites! You have some familair specimens there...but the one in the upper right frame is unfamiliar to me, and it looks like the same breed as the one in the central bottom frame; I don't think we have this breed in the USA...I love those segments, they way they're flattened along the sides, like the little critter has running boards or something. Wonderful colors! It's a bit cold here, which makes me sad, because all of the woodlice are burrowed in for the winter, and it's impossible to find any of them, but I'll cherish these, most definitely! THANK YOU for posting them, and for the dedication. Woodlice are a sure way to make my day!
