Description

Karl Marx - once said that "religion is the opium of the masses" So what is the Opiate of the day? Here we have a 3 tier dwelling- The cellar occupied by the jobless and almost homeless. Furniture limited to a TV. The Ground occupied by the hard working rural community. Furniture limited to kitchenette, a sofa and a TV. First floor occupied by the affluent. Best TV money can buy. Chase the dragon or the next episode of your soap.

Quite an interesting portrait of society and caste system you are displaying here. As a long time viewer and hopefully considered a friend... this is almost disturbing. The renders are freaking georgous, but the message is quite scary. I know the job situation has become volatile.

Wonderful example of todays "drug of choice". I love the textures and lightings of all the rooms. I bet even the basement TV has some sort of cable/direct TV hook up. My drug is my computer,so I'd be the one with the basement apartment and nothing but a chair,a computer and some sort of internet connection, lol.

Very well presented...I'm not a big fan of watching TV, but I see your point..way to much other things to do to sit more than five minuets here. lol

Excellent, excellent, excellent-- tellin' it like it is! Terrific presentation of this; chilling light- that's one cold basement and a great metaphor!

If this was the case, I'm sure I would've seen something about it on TV:)

I once went looking in my dicitonary to see if there was some radical which equated to recreational drug much as Marx searched for a country ripe for revolution. I don't remember them all now but cocaine definitely had carbonate. Odd, how the preferred drug of the rich became, as crack, the pipe filler of the poor.

Excellent image and message! I live without TV since two years and I can´t understand people who don´t know what to do when they are 3 days without one. However being without a computer is more difficult, but not unbearable as long I have books.
