Description
I did go to the lake yesterday and Im glad I did! There is a place here called Big Creak Park that I been meaning to check out but just havent yet. At the lake there was a path or trail and I decided to check it out, It lead me to the park :) Its basicly just a five mile concrete trail through the woods. But it was beautiful! I found a couple deer,a snake and this hawk. Not bad for a sick person :)
Its not as clear as Id like, I need some practice holding the new lens still.

Stellar capture Rob. I think that it is a great capture. Read up on image stabilization and you will enjoy it. Also a momo-pod might be helpful. It can also be used as a walking stick. Dana

Neat shot...taken with your new 70-300mm lens I presume? You are right...to hand hold...particularly in low light at 300mm is a bit tricky. If you are using "Auto", your exposure time is dropping lower than you may realize which makes the shake show up again even with Image Stabilization on. I took a whole batch of bird photos using my 70-300mm lens last May and June (they're in my gallery). I began using a tripod a lot...the results were far, far better, but I had birds coming to a feeder where it was easy to use a tripod. By the way, do you know how to get your camera data to show when you upload a photo? There is one more box you have to check...the box under Permissions, Options and Advisories that says, "Display this date..."
