Description

While you can't see her completely, the young lady stepping though the portal is Melikia's Kyleena. This render is more of an experiment in dealing with transparency and modifications to lighting. While the effect is interesting, it's not quite what I was shooting for , so I may re-render this after I play with the lighting and perhaps the level of transparency of the portal. I was also giving another go at reflections but again, something went wrong, so this is another issue that I've got to work with. I hope that everyone has a great week Mike

good start Mike You might also want to add like an water bump map or even a a slight dispacement to the portal to give it some character it will also make the lighting be more interesting but if you go this route I would drop the reflections and use a bit of refraction instead! A bit of back light might look interesting also!

The effect here is really well done. The very faint image of her body is quite good. cvrad has some good suggestions. It might be fun to play with a water map, giving it a kind of Stargate look.
