And no, I don't always play in my studio.
You can always learn even with simple object.
This one was taken with the available light only.
And it isn't only a "light" study but also a composition study. Shapes and shadows combine together here efficiently.
I hope you will enjoy the picture.

Lighting seems to be a bit bright from the left, sort of drowns out the details in the sculpture. in my opinion. Other than that I like the image

I think that if the shades were drawn about 2/3 the image wouldn't be so blinding

Light seems to be coming from 2 separate windows. The shadows on the wall combined with the pattern of the wallpaper make for an interesting abstraction. I think that the doll is a distraction in this scene.
