Description
I had to play again with that scene, but I am still not getting where I want, maybe a third one shortly?

Very good light and sci-fi scene.

I'm sure what is going on there with the vehicle. The background is nice, in a Criss Foss kind of way, like an early Yes album cover, but the vehicle... It must be flying, but to the back it looks like a wheel is splashing in water. This makes the terrain seem tiny, but I'm sure it's an optical illusion. The ship is shining spotlights, which can be seen cutting through the air (though the scene is bright as day) yet the two pillars of light in the front don't catch the haze at all. The bump on the vehicle looks identical to the bump on the terrain. I would change the point of view to eliminate optical illusions and make the vehicle recognizable within the context of the alien terrain. Maybe replace or tone down the vehicle bump map (or displacement) if possible. The beams in the front can be tweaked so that the edges aren't solid and they can cast light to make the haze around them glow. Also, it might be a good idea to not have the driver looking straight at the camera.

I think I have to go with Paloth on this one...low light/night scenes can be a bit of a pain to get right.
