Description
The Orcs and goblins in the service of Barad-dur and the folk of Mordor, used the symbol of the Red Eye, for Sauron. The Red Eye was painted on their shields. Sauron did not use his right name, nor permit it to be spelled or spoken. These Orcs of Mordor and the Morgul Vale referred to Sauron as the Great Eye. Shagrat called these Mordor orcs "morgul-orcs and goblins".The smaller orcs were referred to as goblins.
