I just moved back to Brisbane in Queensland, Australia - the sunny state! Have spent the last decade living in Sydney then Melbourne and then moved to Seminyak in Bali for a blissful four months at the beginning of 2009. But now I am back in the real world - started a new job which keeps me pretty busy - but I do get to do a fair bit of travel to Asia - which is truly one of my fave areas in the whole world - especially Bali!
As to work, I am an Instructional Designer with a real interest in online learning which led me to my obsession with digital 3D art/animation. When I saw my first online learning featuring a 3D digital character I just had to know how it was done. I got Poser a couple of years ago and have dabbled ever since.
I am not naturally artistic so IÂ find Poser a way to express myself artistically without the need to draw or create from scratch...I find myself spending hours playing with characters and poses and lighting - it is like an obsession.
I have a slightly gothic/bohemian sensibility so my renders tend to veer towards the dark/sombre side but I do occasionally like the whimsical. IÂ have always had a passion for vampires and my favourite author is Poppy Z Brite - especially her early modern gothic vampire novels - awesome! But have not been able to create a realistic looking vampire so far without looking kitchy - so hopefully one day IÂ will have a render befitting a vampire lover!
Apart from 3D digital art IÂ like tattoos as well - have a few myself and really love the tattooed characters available for Poser and IÂ have bought quite a few! IÂ have created quite a few images with tattoos and have used them on my Tattoo blog - so keep them coming!
I have a digital 3D blog - that gives me somewhere to babble on about characters, etc in Poser - and the HUGE amount of money I spend not only at Renderosity (over 400 wishlisted - obsessed???) but DAZ3D, RuntimeDNA and Content Paradise!!! If you saw my individual wishlists on these sites - you would faint - I know I do everytime I add something new - LOL very loudly!!!
Thanks for looking and keep on rendering!
Julie
p.s. Just got Poser Pro 2010 - totally loving it so far - about time I learnt to use the more complex features - looking forward to a busy 2010 doing this...take care!

I really like the closeup, cropped composition. It is dynamic and constantly leads the viewer to the centre of interest, the eye. I would really like to see more modelling in the form using more shadow work. That would take this image into the top bracket.
