Description

In quiet moments In the dark of the night I pray to you oh Lord Hear me In my darkest hour Stretch your hand down Through the clouds That are pressing down on my soul And touch my heart Heal the wounds On my soul That oppress my spirit With fear Fear that I will never create again Fear that my muse has left me forever Fear that I will slip into that great silence And never be able to climb out again If I have one great fear in life, it is that someday the words will leave me forever. Well I don’t know if I am really afraid they will leave me forever but I sure hate having writers block. It depresses me very deeply. I just can’t stand it haha. There is one really bright spot today. It is that I found the site of Blush. I am sure you have all seen her site but if you haven’t you must go see it. Her photos are twice as good as mine and her poems oh baby I can’t even tell you how good her poems are. She is a amazing talent.

She is wonderful :)I get those blocks too and makes me depressed too and frustrated.Don't worry your muse never leaves.Just sometimes you need to listen .Those blocks usually come when there is something you need to know ...and comes in it's own sweet time.Love your work Randy.Images and poems.

i guess if we never have blocks then we never have reewed inspiration, which can be soo exhilirating. Fear not my friend. The muse would be afraid if it lost you ;-)

wonderful poem, Randy. My muse loves to take walkabouts when I'm trying to render something, then I just turn to photography to pass along until the muse comes back.

Writer's block will leave. I think I will start putting up some of my writings.

We've all been there Randy. Sometimes the muse just needs a rest. I often have the opposite problem. When I get going I can often hear my muse shouting at me to shut up!

Sometimes, even as writers, we need to just sit back and shut up and listen. You don't have to have something to say every day. Where's the fire? Just write when you feel moved to write. Maybe that vague unease you think you should be filling with pen and ink is only the urge for a piece of pizza or something. I understand the pull to write, but you can't be breathing out all the time ... sometimes you have to breathe in and get filled back up again. Give it a rest! Your writer's inspiration hasn't left you forever yet, and it probably isn't on its way out the door now. Not every pause, not every hole in our lives has to be filled with words. Go do something you feel passionate about! The words will come.

Ah, writer's block, I know it well...but like Tara, I don't mind it when it comes...something else always happens whenever I feel it. I always think of writer's block as my muse taking a coffee break, or answering the call of nature, or hanging out with other muses in the local muse bar. Having said that, I'll also say that I like this poem quite a lot. It's very direct and to the point, especially in regard to voicing something that many writers/poets have thought at one time or another. Great work.

Beautifully written! I think you've no need to fear. Words are your friend. Relax! Don't worry! Be happy!
