Description

Our veterans that is,those that served to fight for a country that sometimes I wonder if we really deserve or appreciate it or should we show them more respect of course we should: Let us hope our now men and women are appreciated for their services ,lets hope they do not stand on a corner begging for a hand out because they have no job, perhaps no legs I see a man everyday when I'm exiting off my freeway and I stop I give him a few dollars, anything I have on me I will help. Do you know it really is a selfish act on my part because it makes me feel so good,I just wish I could more. We are so blessed to have our freedom a warm bed to sleep in ,a family who loves us: Take a few minutes out tomorrow please and just say thank you: and thank you for commenting:

the massacre in Ft Hood burns me up. I read today the government knew that the shooter had ties with extremists and chose to do nothing.the same mentality was responsible for 911 and the bush invasion of iraq. I am sickened every time I hear of more soldiers dying or coming home maimed. I saw a young man the other day with partial legs and damaged arms.I did not ask, but I bet he was a veteran. our soldiers doing their duty but pawns of jackass people like bush.yes he is gone, but the harm he did will stay around for a long time and hopefully never forgotten.but unfortunately this government makes the same old errors over and over

Post traumatic disorder support is sadly needed and lacking for both our “Canadian” and “USA” troops. It’s as if we have learned nothing from the “Vietnam” conflict. Some of these guys come back home (sick) and in need of mental help. (believe me I know). A hand out is fine but just does not cut it. How do you expect a soldier who has seen hell to simply integrate into the main stream society when he comes home. It’s not business as usual for some. They need help and are just not getting what they need.

It's an insane world we live in and thus no sane answer can be found. The United Nations was our best hope for world peace but it has no muscle or teeth. We need a one world government. Until then, war will always be an option and kids will be lost on all sides. What good is learning History if we refuse to learn from it? Vietnam was a total waste and I can't say I was proud to fight in that war. But it was that or go to jail.. so you're welcome everyone. Iraq will be the same.. just watch. The one good thing is that shortly no more kids will be lost in these stupid wars because they will be fought using Robots through Avatars. Just give our kids an Xbox with internet satellite connection with their Robotic counter-parts overseas and let them blow away terrorists long distance and for real. The kids won't even have to go to boot camp or be over 18. We can even give medals and awards to the kids with the most human kills. Is this where we are heading? I wouldn't bet against it. Anyway, time to get off my soapbox again. Nice image and thoughts Evie. Bravo and hugs from Dave :^)

a wonderful dedication, Evie, and it's so sad to hear from you and others, there are veterans left out in the cold, those who have given everything and than some...so it really warms my heart to read you are giving freely to them...smile
