Description

Hi Everyone, There is something about this photo that keeps me wondering. The effect I wanted I got, I know we all look for different results. There are features I like about it maybe - the division, depth, light to dark, I do not know. Critical comments are welcome, and it is always nice to get ideas for improvement. Hope all are well- thank you for looking and for any comments you care to type. -GB-

I have no critical comments but I find the differences in the leaves separated by the fence interesting. The ones that appear to be closer are much sharper.

The shadows on the wood came out nice, wood grain is ok. For my tast id add a little more color on the wood. Also the grass on the bottom differs from the top, almost as if two pics were put in to make the one. It may be my eyes??

To me, the DOF of your 75mm lens zoom explains the difference in the yard appearance...closer is in focus...further is out of focus and that's what we'd expect. My eye is drawn to the rail itself...the texture says this is a plank that has met a saw blade. I suppose there aren't a lot of real split rails surviving these days. Any photo that evokes discussion, is a good photo:)

This is wonderful!! The artist Matisse strove to bring all the elements into one plane, and you have achieved this here, I love it!

A very rich looking tapestry of autumn colours and textures... I like what I see, I can't give you much help or advice, I am still learning myself, but you have a good eye for nature shots. BB

The lighting is indeed lovely, as is the layering and the depth of the composition! A most calming and soothing mood and atmosphere, created by the effect! Wonderful artwork!
