Description
Awhile back, concerning Global Warming issues & my atmospheric/landscape/waterscape series on that subject, I wasn't too surprised to hear comments indicating some folks don't believe in the events documented in Al Gore's "Undisputed Truth."
One of the funniest, IMHO, was the "I'd like to slap Al Gore up alongside his head; knocking some sense of smell into him because I doubt he can smell what he's shoveling" comment.
Big LOL on my part when I first got that email from a very dear friend who lives in Down Under...Having said that: Last year at this time, on my Birthday, the 16th, we already had snow here. Yesterday, it was gorgeous, bright, sunny, with no wind; so it felt warmer than the 56F reading on my outdoor...Today, it's darkly overcast, 55F, coldly windy & damp, which greatly influenced which upload I chose...as well as my comment & conceptual question for my fellow artist friends here...To clarify: Reading between the following lines; have you ever conceptually wondered: With all the chatter about Polar Ice Melt, problematics aside; “Okay, so what is the Antarctica continent going to look like – after being buried under ice all these zazillion years?” has my curiosity level sky high, so to speak.
Incidentally, I ticed rate this image; as a "survey" of the Issue the design addresses; NOT as a rating of my modeling work; which I'm very proud of with this design :D IF a viewer reading this has "Artistic Jealousy Issues" try to rise above that - because Spaceship Earth is the only home Humanity has, if she crashes, we ALL perish!
WE ALL as Nations, really need to put Cultural, Ethnic, Political & Religious differences aside...Focus on the Global Environment; hopefully, there's still time to turn things around.

Al Gore, of course is not the only one who has documented/studied this - some, for what appear to be self agrandisement, say, "Wait we done't have all the facts yet!," or substitue a false science. We are an ocean liner that must turn ourselves quickly. If we don't the only iceberg we will have a chance of running into may be ourselves. P.S. Nice image.

One of my favorite authors, Michael Crichton, wrote a well researched novel called "State of Fear", which dealt with some of the global warming issues. After the adventure story, he laid out all the references for his facts, and they were pretty impressive. One of the things he reports is that over the last hundred years the average global climate has lowered by 1/4F. So why is there so much hype over global warming? One reason might be to scare folks into funding organizations that profit from climate change. Until I can fry an egg on my sidewalk, I'd say there's not much to worry about from global warming.

If you look at the reduction of the Ice fields in the North Polar regions, you'd see that there is a problem occuring, which means that the polar bear is now on the endangered species list... great art

Cool image and work! Don't believe you will find a money trail, Jocko...maybe we should follow the "melting arctic ice trail" instead. May lead to your front step down in the Bayou! Peace and undestanding to you all...

It's typical that people still do not care or believe in global warming. "Until I can fry an egg on my sidewalk, I'd say there's not much to worry about from global warming." This attitude is not going to help the millions already suffering from drought in countries in Africa etc.... I'm sure if the temperature raises a couple more degrees there it will have even more devastating effects on the people already struggling to survive. Selfish attitudes.... disgusting. Ahhhhh humanity ;)

Every year Antartida and glaciers melt, it's a great show for tourists and is very good for our rivers. What's the problem with warming?. Plants do love warm temperatures, rain and CO2, animals love plants and many human love plants and animals. The tragic thing would be global cooling!!!!!

fantastic creation!
