Description

The first area of the City of the Godz is the Altar of the Dragons, where many of the people passing into the City make homage to the Great Gods of our ancestors. The eternal fire burns bright every second of the day. It is to honor the spirit with which our forefathers built this great stone city, all from one solid rock, made of granite, in such a way as to last thousands of years. Jorahnna, always there to greet the travelers and show the new ones the steps to the ceremony that they must follow before entering the City of the Godz . It was a purification right so that each entered spiritually pure and free from whatever they had done in their past and make there souls worthy of entering this most holy of places. All on Charmosa came here and passed this Altar once in their lives. It was one of the demands that our religion placed upon them. While in the city all would be cleansed, by the great machines left by our ancestors, and all would be healed of any ailment, no matter how large or how small the problem might be. How glorious must the Gods have been to be able to construct such machines. The lame could walk, the blind see, the deaf hear again. Even those whose problems were of the mind could be set right and leave the city with a clear and clam state of mind. All were cured. Of this healing Jorahnna herself had been able to partake of and her once useless arm had been restored after visiting the City and it’s healing machines. It was then she had decided to remain and show her thanks by taking on this position of Prayer Minister in the Alter of the Dragon ceremonies. Since this time she had witnessed many miracles. There was no greater honor than to be a part of something this great and miraculous. This was the answer to her prayer when first she came to the City, that if healed that she would be a servant to the old Gods for the remainder of her life and she had kept that bond. A Minister in The City of the Godz..

To all who made me their favorite Artist last week ands boosted me to number 12 in the Art Charts.. Though this does not mean I am such a great artist or a Poser professional it does mean that you took the time to encourage me in this manner. Some call it a popularity contest but I think it is more a sign that you all wish to encourage me to make better works and in that manner I will try to do my best and hopefully make artwork that is worthy of your consideration.. Every day I study my manuals and "How to" tutorials from wherever I can get them, hoping to find one more process to make my works more interesting. I am always hopefull that it will catch your eye and please your mind or tickle your senses somehow.. I think each new "trick" keeps my works from becoming to stale or just a repeat of prior works.. It is not always easy to find new ways to do things after hundreds of pictures but I am trying.. I hope that this one will be pleasing and that you like the image.. I try to make fresh stories and have found that finding NEW names for the characters is not as easy as I had thought at one time.. "Be Fresh and new" is not as easy as one might think as many of you know ... I will, however, try hard....gene

your stories is wonderful. and your images is fresh to me. I used the same "Alice" figure in many of my images and no one say any thing and the same bone men too. my poser do not work on ME or viste but in XP which I do not have. so I use what I got. your knowadge surpast mine for sure. but I not good. Yours is super but each of us is in differ types of art too. So is that fair to compare ourselfs to each other or to other people art??? That a question there that each of us have to answer to our self rightously. I saying this for all artists to face as they look into the mirror at them self even me. I not putting anyone down here just thinking outloud. Your work brings us into a land of dreams that is good for us to be in at the time. I like that

congratulations on making the charts! your work is amazing on quite a few levels: the use of color and props, the pretty characters, the huge depth your scenes have and your wonderful stories. all of these elements keep me waiting eagerly for the next image. this scene is wonderful for all the reasons I have mentioned above. bravo on making beautiful art.

I never get a thought about my work being "better" than any other.. I see works here that just knock me out.. I see some artwork that I know I probably will never match and sometimes wonder how they did it. Sometimes it is a matter of expertise and sometimes it is they fact that the programs they use are better suited for doing parts i only wish I could do as well. Some people do artwork that I am less than impressed by but I NEVER let them know it and I encourage them, not by telling them that something is wrong or how they should have done it.. I am NOT a teacher and many times I know that I could not help even if that was what I wanted. I can, however, praise them and give them a good feeling about their art in order to make this a GOOD experience for them and hopefully they will continue to do it and grow into their own form or style.. Praise is what kept me going and being recognized is a good feeling and kept me trying to get better.. Practice is so much of what we do and it is the main thing that makes us grow.. not instruction... one must always find what is comfortable for them and only practice will tell you that.. I find the works of all of you to have the potential for being great works.. I am proud of having many friends here and would have it no other way...
