Description

In the midst of a majestic valley, with a gigantic glacier flowing like diced blue liquid down from the mountaintops above, I looked down and saw this. It is a piece of said glacier which had calved and fallen into the lake at it's base, eventually washing up on the far shoreline and in the final phase of melting. The water was full of Loess, or fine glacial silt, giving it a gray hue, and the surface was dead calm, creating a mirror-like surface. I continue to be amazed at the beauty that nature drops right at our feet, if we are only willing to look for it.
