Description
This is another shot from the Hodge Close Quarry. The Silver Birch have populated it beautifully. This is an ideal place to appreciate the beauty of these trees, adding a natural environment to a bleak rock areana.
It was raining very heavily most of this day, which gave the moody feel. The convertion to Mono has not removed much colour, there was hardly any there to trart with. It has allowed me tonal flexibility to get it how I wanted. To try and capture the feel on the day.

The monochrome is well done, even with the assistance you said of the bleak nature of that day. At first I thought the trees prisoners but now know the trees are bringing a refurbishing to the quarry.
