Description

This image was a present for the landlord of our favorite pub. As every serious pub-owner he spent his special day behind the bar and so the waitresses layed a plot: One of them organized a big caisson and we all filled it with sweets, bisquits, cards and other fine things. Leo and I brought at least two pounds of chocolate. He works beside a chocolate factory that has a kind of outlet store where you can buy freshly made bars that are not "beautiful" enough to be wrapped in paper because they are broken, contain too many or too few nuts and so on. What you get is chocolate that looks not ideal but tastes fresher than anything you can buy in the supermarket! ...and then I made him this image. The intentional idea was to create something humorous with Arminius/Hermann, the chieftain of the Cheruski and his wife Thusnelda with a pint of beer. As we celebrate the 2000th anniversary of the Varus battle that happened here, where we live, and as beer is the favorite drink in this region this seems natural. But when I added the poses and used one set for Hermann but one from a different set for Thusnelda I saw that she was not looking on Hermann's six-pack but seems to long for the beer. To be sure I used different cameras and angles and so I can swear it: The girl wants a pint and doesn't care a bit for her husband in this moment. Especially on Saturdays, when the pub is warm and overcrowded, a good glass of beer is exactly what girls want - so this was in fact an ideal gift for a publican ;o) Technical: Hermann's clothes are from the Valiant set, his hair is the Chevalier hair, Thusnelda's hair is the Christine hair (DAZ). Some postwork to add the stylized background and for creating some tasty foam on the beer. The glass is from the Renderosity freestuff, it's made by Mystic-Night. Thusnelda's clothes are from a set by Val3d (as far as I remember), they seem not to be available anymore.

Ya know, I ALWAYS wondered what it was exactly that us girls wanted...huh. Now I do! :D This is SOO cool!! I bet he loved it very much. And a 2000 year old anniversary? That's cool! It always sounds so strange...they say the big difference between people of Europe and the United States is that we think 200 years is a long time and the people of Europe think 200 miles is a long way. :)

That is so cute-her posing does make her look like she is pleading for that lovely beer (and it does look good, and I am not a beer drinker) and I can believe they were making good beer 2000 years ago, even if not at Hermann's pub;)Your party sounds like so much fun!

For all of you who asked: Ingo (few of you already know him) liked a lot!!! The fact that this image even got a staff's pick is the cream on the coffee - I ususally don't show off with honors like this but as this picture is a present it means a lot to me!
