Description

Taken in October in Kielder Forest, Northumberland. Some creature had taken a nibble, so there must be some animals who could eat a redcap. I couldn't.

Well-known mushroom redcap in the past was the most widespread hallucinogen throughout the Northern Hemisphere, has an important role in religious beliefs and rituals of Siberian peoples. To fall into a trance, shamans drank a beverage prepared from the redcap, also the ordinary people used the drink apparently to experience the unusual sensation.

It looks like a confection. All you need is coffee or a cuppa! By the way, yesterday, I was looking at my OS map of that same area!
