Description

A rose for you under the light of a bright full moon... Well, so I hope you would believe! LOL... This is actually a yellow rose but I played with it in CS3 to try and get a moonlit effect! I had fun doing it and I actually like how it turned out! Hope you would too! Thank you for popping in and for your very kind comments and favs on my upload yesterday! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

Much too stellar an image and effort for me to find proper adjectives for, Carin. And a question: who sang "Moonlight becomes you, it goes with your hair?"

I just saw part of 'Interview with a vampire' (Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst) so my first thought was 'vampire rose'. Wonderful post work adds an air of mystery to the image. The background treatment really brings the rose forward. Excellent.

This and the previous photo you uploaded have totally sparked all sorts of associations in my mind. And that's a good thing. One of the "goodest" things I could imagine. "Goodest?" I love using bad English on occasion! It's so fun! Anyway, this image is spectacular. It's post worked, but your post work is so incredibly subtle; there is that whole moonlit quality to it, but there's something strangely dreamy as well, something described in a China Mieville novel...though he wasn't describing a rose. In fact he was describing something ominous, but it was beautiful, and wholly unique. The novel is "The Scar" in case you're interested and China Mieville is a writer I admire greatly. He's brilliant, and crap! He's younger than me, which sucks since he's more famous too! Oh well...I've gotten over that already so don't worry. Anyway, he described something called a "moon ship" and this totally reminds me of that! WOW. WOW. This is perfect. It stands on its own, and it's brilliant. But I'm also in love with the association it sparks in me.

Do roses stay wide open at night? That's kind of like asking if the light in the refrigerator really goes off after you shut the door:) Great job.

I LOVE this picture! This is fantastic and totally drew me in.The lighting and texture are beautiful and I like the way you blured it around the edges as it makes the center part even more intense. Wonderful shot!
