UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful shot Bill! Looks like a good place to pretend your fishing and have a cooler of beer at your side. :D Also it looks like Rocky Point beach on Long Island used to look like. Before everybody took all the rocks for thier home gardens. Shhhh! My father was one of them. :)

WONDERFULLY BEAUTIFUL!!! WHERE IS IT, IN KANSAS?! ;-D

Use one of Bill's filter programs and it could be Kansas - broad and flat to the horizon.

That sounds like a very good idea. A lovely seascape.

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... thank you, my friend. This is just right.

Actually, that's just about all I've been doing over the past week, just lying back in an effort to nurse this coldlike virus I've been battling. Anyway, a sterling capture of the relaxing ocean waves, along with some neat silent film era vignetting.

Kicking back...yeah...that rocks. I plan to do a LOT of kicking back as soon as I can, but I already know that it'll involve a particular Russian, a particular brand of vodka, and caviar freshly squeezed from whatever fish yields black caviar. I've learned from ONE particular Russian that you do, indeed, squeeze caviar from a fish, and if it's an uncooperative fish, you have to shake it a around a bit...an inaccurate description of caviar harvesting, but I like the image of shaking fish in order to get the caviar out. It's kind of like shaking a bottle of mustard to get that last little quirt out. Anyway, I'm rambling. This is an excellent photo, very restful and warming. It's COLD here so seeing this warms me up nicely. I love the composition of this, it's so open...you get such an impression of space and fresh air. I love that.
