Description

Today he arrives in our village, Saint Nicholas, the original version of Santa Claus, surrounded by painted servants dressed in bright colorful cloths. Sinterklaas,in the Netherlands, Saint Nicholas' Eve (December 5) is the chief occasion for gift-giving. The evening is called "sinterklaasavond" or "pakjesavond" ("presents evening"). Lots of singing children where waiting to see this so called Good Holy Man arrive. They may put there shoe tonight next to the fireplace and hopefully they get a surprice in it next morning. And in a few weeks (5th of December) they will get the real stuff, lots of gifts and surprices! Hope you like it Take care, have a wonderful day, and thanks for your support and kind comments you’ve gives me on my previous postings. It’s so inspiring! Also thanks to everyone who added my work as there favorite!s

I like the St. Nicholas tradition better then the American Santa Claus tradition. This is such a wonderful capture .. beautifully presented as well.
