Description

a double post from cornucopia on an interesting topic with view on animations and flickering (GI and AA flicker). A test of how far global ambience can be pushed towards realism. Usually realism = global radiosity in VUE. But GR is no good for animations. Also the terrain is a normal terrain, not a procedural, which makes it applicable for animations. I think the scene just needs some more colour matching (ecosystem, stone material) and proper terrain sculpting and it would look convincing. That's like the holy crail for animations: global ambience, normal terrains...and still really realistic, I mean really realistic.
