Description
Bram Stoker wrote the novel ‘Dracula’ in 1897. It was about a Transylvanian vampire.
The oldest surviving film about a vampire is Nosferatu, a German Expressionist vampire horror film, directed by F. W. Murnau, starring Max Schreck (why does that name sound familiar) as the vampire and released in 1922. The word schreck is also the German word for fright, or terror.
Bela Lugosi portrayed perhaps the most well known version of the vampire in the 1931 film ‘Dracula’.
Today vampires seem to be everywhere, on television, in films. Last night I watched a few minutes of ‘Interview With The Vampire’, starring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst. When I sat down to prepare this image for uploading, the title just seemed to fit.

Excellent moon - this could also be called the hunter's moon, as the vampires and werewolves would be out on the prowl looking for food via the hunt! Great shot

Ooooh, scary! The graininess adds to the mood. Very beautiful, really. Maybe I'm a vampire. Yikes.
