Hello,
I am a photographer, I love taking pictures.
I am currently in a relationship in which I am incouraged to be myself. The concept of my ideas and desires being supported came hard to me. This actually took me years to grasp, but he says I am his butterfly and just starting to spread my wings.
Any and all comments are encouraged as well as suggestions too. Thank you for the comments you leave as well as suggestions. I will try to find interesting photo opportunities so that I can give you wonderful pictures to view.

Update: 06-20-09
I have found another family on Renderosity. All the people here are just incredible. Things are starting to change in a really positive direction for me. I am currently starting to do portraits, and am thinking about making this my full time position. One day I hope to tell my boss to jump in the lake. I think having a career that I love and can be proud of is now my goal.
Clarification 09-20-09
I do portraits for family members and friends. I don't charge them because I need someone to practice with.
Well I think I found something that I can be proud of. Not in photography, but in sales. I am my own boss. I can never be fired or laid off. I sell stuff I use and love. So I know I can stand behind it. Just need to build my customer base. Once I do, I will just do this and only this.
       Friends Always,
                            Cheri

I do not know how old she is, but I had a very old one. I had her on hydration therapy once a week for about 4 months. She could not eat. She tried but each morning I went to the butcher and bought 3 fresh, raw shrimp and an ounce of fresh calf liver. I chopped the shrimp very fine for her morning meal (did not cook it) and did the same with the liver for an afternoon snack and evening meal. She did well this way as long as I fed her by hand each meal and took her in for IV treatments each week. Finally, I had to give it up. In spite of it all, she was down to 3 pounds and shrinking. No real pain, just the pain of watching her waste away. good luck with her and know she is counting on you to see her through to the end no matter when or where that is. this is a lovely shot, BTW.

Geez,...I guess I'll do the momma thing first, although I am going to post soon about her. We don't know how old she is,...my brother Tom started feeding her and leaving water out, as she was obviously malnourished and very pregnant. We took her in so that she could safely give birth, and she's been a part of our family ever since. She adopted Cheri as her human, almost as soon as we moved in here, and has been her constant shadow and lap warmer ever since,.. or maybe the other way around as she never did put on any weight. I don't want to see her go, but feel good that for the last eight years, she's had food, water, a warm place to sleep, and love, none of which she had previously in her life. This is an interesting shot! I think without the description it would be hard to figure out just what it is. I know there are more similar shots, some not quite so obscure, it would be cool to see those too, basically this is an rather fast moving underground stream, and so cool to see in person! You all should go,.....now.

So sorry sweetie... I believe she was the one who I liked the most by the pictures. I guess all cats go to heaven too!!!

Super interesting textures in this shot, Cheri. Other than the eel-like object in the center, it looks like a photo of outer space, with stars, galaxies, etc. Sorry about your kitty cat, my friend.

Before I forget, let me tell you how much I like this image! POV, light, composition, colors, textures, clarity ... everything! When I open it in full view it's SO big, I scroll around and look at different parts of it, and see how easy it would be to break this down further into several different images, each with a great look. Excellent work. Now onto life, rather than art ... I am so sorry to hear about Momma, Sweetie! My heart breaks for you, having to go through this so soon after having had to deal with everything else in your life going sideways. Even though you're doing so well, I know your energy reserve can't be back up to normal yet. If I could make this better for you, I would! I know you'll do the right thing for all of you. My heart is with you, my friend ...

I'm so sorry that Momma is not doing well. It is so hard when our furry friends are poorly and we face the decision that pet owners all dread. I know you'll do what is best for her. You have mountains of strength, I'm sorry it is being tested yet again. She is a beautiful kitty, similar in color to my Cleo. Hugs and comfort to you during this difficult time. Beautiful and very interesting capture!

I hear what you are saying about pets. It's the hardest time ever isn't it. Nice photo BTW. It would have also looked good on a slow exposure and a tripod to really soften up the water and make it fluffy.
beachzz
I've been thru it as well and it's not easy. You can only do the best for her, she'll let you know when it's time. Take care. Beautiful foto--what an amazing place!!

The shot is an absolutely lovely one, Cheri. As for Momma... I've had to make that decision twice now myself - and one of those times was for a cat who as a kitten, adopted me the way Dave says Momma adopted you. It's hard. But as you said, it's about what's best for her. Don't feel guilty if she's suffering and you make that decision. I know with my kitten (14 year old kitten, that is), she was tired, and wanted to sleep. (And I swear the latest addition to my family is her reincarnation....) If Momma is hurting, or suffering, then do what seems best. I suspect she would thank you for it. All the hugs you need, tag0

Today is 20 years since I lost my furry friend. She had suffered from kidney failure. Have you had a vet look at her? It could be internal blockage from hairballs. Sometimes using laxatives can unblock. An interesting picture like a 'flood under the earth' (a line from Beowulf, yes I am King of the Nerds).

Excellent shot!! i am so to hear about your oldest kitty Momma..this is soo sad..yes i can understand that you do not want her to suffer...

DO NOT BLAME US !! Just be careful not to SEASONING FOOD WITH OR FOR HER EVEN IF SHE IS "ASK FOOD" when you are NOT GIVE EATING! THE BEST YOU CAN DO IS TAKE THE PRODUCT AND GIVE THE DRUG PRESCRIBED AND ONLY TO FEED IT (sometimes a tablespoon of warm water in the FEED FOR softened a little)! HAVE FAITH AND CARING WITH IT!
flavia49
excellent picture!!!! I'm so sorry for your kitty!

So sorry Cheri & Dave about Momma, I know it will be very hard for you both & the guilt, yes afraid we all have that, even when we do our best. I agree with beachzz, Momma will tell you when the time is right. Thinking of you. xxxxxx Love the pic, I can hear the water gushing.

Sometimes we don't consider how important a pet or even a person is until we are on the edge of losing them. I've never been to The Dells...I'll have to do a little research to find out what they are all about...geologically speaking:)
sandra46
wonderful shot! i hope your cat will get well soon!

So sorry to hear about Moma Kitty. Having to say goodbye to a pet that is a family memebr is always so hard......I feel you pain. Cool picture looks like a tenticale is rising up out of the rapids

Wonderful shot! The Wisconsin Dells are a fabulous place to spend time, just looking around at all of the stuff; especially the geological features. I can't remember exactly where it is, but somewhere in the Dells, there's a magnetic anomaly though it feels like a gravitaional anomaly, as you can feel a very distinct pull in a direction that isn't downward. I'm wondering if you've been to that spot. At any rate, this is a fabulous shot and I love the vertigo-inducing POV, almost like you're on the verge of spelunking into a really interesting underground domain. As for your cat, oh I totally sympathize. I grew up with cats and actually had to watch one die. Old age is what did it, he was old enough to go and buy liquor in Illinois, and for a cat that's not exactly young. I also had to leave my cat Natasha behind with a friend(and she went to a shelter as he couldn't keep her for long) and that was as hard as actually losing her to sickness or old age. I'm hoping things get better with Momma. And yes, like Marilyn says, she'll let you know when it's time for any particular decision. My thoughts are definitely with you now, as I know exactly how important cats are, and how incredibly easy it is to love them. If she's eating a little, that's a good sign and I hope that things improve!

Interesting image in ZOOM mode. So the Dells are natures work in progress. Sounds like a great place to visit. Take care of Momma and take care of yourself. Great capture. Dana
