Description

Another group of shots from our Halloween display this year. (just a few more of these, I assure you, then I'll get to work on the little challenge I set up for myself then back to the Clerin series) ~~~~ Clockwise from top: A shot of our "cavern's" interior...and just to the right of the Captain's Table. A few of our...less than loyal crew members just 'hanging around', Little Leota there doing her best to foretell doom, and our pumpkin buddies (better shots of them coming up) and one heck of a creepy little witch, skelly-dragon was feeling a bit camera shy so he showed off his best feature when I took this shot...prima-donna dragon. ~~ Our Reaper Arch after dark and another camera shy haunt, the headless horse and his rider. I just liked the way the lighting worked out. ~~ Hey! It's our buddy "Bob the Skeleton"! (yes, we're soooooooo creative with names, aren't we?) and a few of his eight-legged friends. The idea for them came from, of all things, a Martha Stewart Halloween special (yea, she's evil, but occasionally she has a few ideas that actually can be done by 'normal' people), and I loved the way they came out! Unfortunately, this shot doesn't show how they really looked -- styrofoam head and body with a glow stick holding them together and really long glow-necklaces to make the legs. Trust me, they looked REALLY cool in the dark! Again, camera shy Bob opted not to look at the camera for his close up. ~~ A better shot of our creepy little witch and her cadaverous friend whom we've dubbed "Mister Alucard" (long story, okay? But anyone who knows what I'm talking about gets props!), they sat and stood at the entrance behind the Reaper Arch and greeted Trick-or-Treaters. Our buddy 'Alucard' has a wonderfully creepy voice that greeted anyone who passed him with a few delightful phrases. My favorite of which is (and probably will stay) "I don't believe we've met. At least not on this side of the grave!" *sigh* Ah, yea, he earned a few jumps and shrieks for his performance. Yea, we know he's wearing a pirate bandanna -- we DO have a theme that we're working to elaborate with each display, and, admittedly, some things don't really go with it, but, hey, it's a work in progress, okay? ~~~~ Photos (c) 2009 Twilight Productions

Awesome assortment of pictures from our haunt, my dear! What I like most is how these images really highlight the scene setter we used. Love the duo of Alucard and Regan too. wicked laughter
