Description

For the next portion of the story I need to "Summon the Past" and create the young freshman Cadet Fairview and (to come later) Lt. JG Rogers. But, I have a problem. The picture shows the 2 cadet uniforms that I can use. Each has their advantages and each has their disadvantages. The black one is sexy with hints of leather and S&M undertones. The one on the left is not quite as sexy, but looks more like a SF Cadet uniform. They both have the drawback that there is no version of either one for men. (A common issue with a lot of content.) I would like to ask for your opinion on which one you think works best. Comments, critiques and feedback are always welcomed. Enjoy!

I like the black one, but you are right...the white looks more...appropriate for the "job".

I'd prefer the right one. Sexy enough and much more practical. Consider a cloaked Klingon "assault surprise" and missy messing around with her bootlace.

With a true pleasure I always watch your fine works.

Like the black one and there is nothing wrong with giving your SF Cadet a more modern sexy look.

Well.... being a guy, naturally I like the one on the right. The one on the left might offer a tad more 'protection' from the unknown hazards of interplanetary spec ops. Things like Klingon land mines or Tribbles, for instance. Awesome job either way!

I like the gray way better. With dark backgrounds the dark suit will be hard to light (lots of extra work). The gray will go with almost all lighting conditions. I may be dense but I see no S&M, I see a typicly over-done military dress uniform. AND the gray shows Fairview's figure way better...but that is just me. :-)

I would say use the gray for a cadet uniform. Maybe the black could be a more formal uniform (for the cadet). Looks like an interesting story developing.

The gray one works better for me. You are correct that both have their merits and drawbacks. What calls to me about the gray uniform is that it isn't as science fiction cliche as the other. Good luck with your project. Best wishes.

The more "practical" gray outfit is more appropriate for a cadet in training. Also as pointed out above, it will work in more lighting situations and with different backgrounds. As far as a men's outfit, I think a little texturing and recoloring of an M3 or M4 bodysuit will do the trick, with a little judicious postwork for the insignia. Nice work and an interesting project!
