Heh heh, as soon as I saw the image I thought "Oh, those poor Legionares. They are going to get slaughtered." I went and looked briefly at the wiki page, but I've seen documentaries about that battle. Guess when you can't form a shield wall, those little gladiuses aren't of much use.
