Hi and thanks for looking. The pic above is of me at the TIGERÂ TEMPLE in Thailand First a little about me. Â I am male, Â in my 60's, Â living in Melbourne Australia. I worked as a machinist for over 40 years after serving a five year apprenticeship, seven years in the rope industry and thirty eight in the glass container industry. My main hobby has been photography ( I developed my first film ( with supervision ) when I was eight years old.) Â Sooo many years ago. I first saw poser through a friend and I was impressed. Â Poser 2 was my first purchase. It was so amazing being able to set lights and pose a model that did not complain about the cold, discomfort, taking so long, am I going to get paid for this? I have been playing with Poser, Bryce and Painter ever Since, Â thank you for reading. Live forever, Â or die trying

Glad to see that IDL and Terradome work well together. The best of both worlds I think, since the lighting is very natural - which really bring out the realism in the gal's fleshtones. Another indicator is the shadows on the tin metal wall have that slightly blueish tinge, meaning strong atmosphere influence on the sunlight which is nice. You nailed this aspect of the project. The daylight is good. Eventually you might want to try evening sunsets, and see if the lights need any tweaking for it. The posing on the gal is alright, she's looking confrontational with clenched fists at the EndoSkeleton. I like that. And here comes a little constructive criticism - You'll need to work on posing the Endoskeleton, its just standing there very solid and stone like and only pointed kinda in the gal's direction. And he's only looking straight ahead, easily past the gal. To improve this scene, I'd make a couple subtle little changes. I'll list a few possible ideas: - Perhaps put a rifle (any rifle) in the Endo's hands, possibly held across it's chest. - Have the Endo's feet straight forward with the wall, but twist the torso, neck and head towards the gal's direction. It doesn't have to be much of either, since it's a machine you can get away with some stiffness. - On the flipside, if you pose the endoskeleton with subtlety, a little bit of movement in most joints, it can come off looking downright eerily creepy / very unsettling. - Eye contact might be important. - I'm not sure what building set your using (i don't recognize it offhand), though if the set allows it, zoom a bit farther back. Perhaps have the gal approaching the building rather than already be on the steps. - If you adjust the lighting (and direction of shadows), so theres some shadow on one side of the endo's face, so that the red eye glow stands out more. - If you really want to make the scene moody and creepy to best effect - try setting up the lights for night time so theres moonlight, add a few spotlights from above out of camera range to simulate a few exterior building lamps, and make use of those lights and shadow to give some backlighting from above on the Endo. Have a look at my Two Captured, One Down render, at the 3 endo's in the background, both at the pose, and how the lighting and shadow play on them. You could capitalize on that where I had left off. So hey, take what you want, discard the rest. Considering you posted earlier your wanting to improve and learn, I'm simply offering some things you might want to try. I just think while the type of lighting in the scene looks good, and good experiment with Terradome and IDL. With a little more work, you could really make this scene pop. I'd really like to see you revisit and revamp the scene, to see how much better you can make it. And I say this with encouragement. :)
