UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

People are posting their art, having discussions with their friends, learning new tricks, and generally having a good time. ..... What?? It wasn't me. Honest! Nothing's going on! ..... The dinghies have gotten together and are making a plan to infiltrate the government. You know ... so our political offices will be full of dingies. Oh wait! Ha! Too late. ..... Sorry ... I had far too many responses to this. Did I remember to mention it's a great photo? I love the sunlight, the texture of the dock, the sound of the boats knocking gently together ... beautiful!

Beautiful image!

LOl @ Tara! What a wonderful image Bill! Whatever the reason the dingies have gathered, you have made the best of the opportunity to capture a visually pleasing image! Love the compo, colors and textures! :)

They gathered on calm water, soon to become more turbulent. The chairman stood aloft with his lecturn and gavel at the ready. A younger dinghy's ego already seemed to be a bit deflated, whilst another was ready to stir. Great capture of the summit, Bill! Cheers, Clive

'Tender moments', or 'The tender touch', (only 2 or 3 have failed to make contact.) This'll be lost if we are once again divided by our common language! Excellent pic..makes me long for the poor weather to be over.

"There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats". Ratty in wind in the willows. Unless it's going to the pub afterwards!!!!! Excellent picture.

I think the owners are in the pub, they don't want to drink & drive so they are rowing home!!!! Great pic.

wonderful shot

I think someone is collecting all the dinghys by attaching large magnets to the docks. It does look like they are trying to edge each other out for dibs on the best spot. Like the saga of the missing honeybees, soon we'll be reading about the missing dinghys. Lol.

outstanding shot LOL

A great title for this interesting capture.

A rowboat association meeting? Sterling clarity and POV in this keen kapture of the rowboats and dinghy in this shot, Bill! Seems with all that space up near the top they should have had an easier time parking.
MrsRatbag
A most fantastic image, clearly they gathered so you could take their group portrait!
